2008 summary
I met a lot of people from different nationalities and backgrounds, it was nice to appreciate different perspectives of life. From asian I have been trying to learn that the future is important and we should get ready for it, but I also agree with jamaican that the present is important, people must enjoy and have fun... well I think the best its a balance between this two choices, work hard but dont forget to enjoy, build a better future but you must have fun too!!
on this year I met italian, colombian, mexican, japanese, canadian, spanish, african and some more... I dont remeember now
Having the chance to meet all these people make me realize that stereotypes are just stupid crap. Everyone is able to persue their dream no matter the culture or nationality!
on the other hand, this year I turned 25!!!!!!! wow I feel I am really being an adult now hahahaha no no not yet.
it was a bit depressing !! when I was 15 I remember I perceived people who were 25 pretty old hahaha I think my little cousins see me like that now.
Im also happy to have my soulmate with me I think without him mylife wouldnt be so cool...
well i hope tthe new year would bring me a bunch of new and interesting stuff!!!

One day I was feeling pretty down, but I decided to go out. I went to a book store with my friend, I was thinking to get a book that could make me feel better. I saw a small cutie book and I took it and read a little bit, it was Randy Pausch last lecture. He wrote it to his kids because he was dying, he was having cancer. The book is mainly about how to live a better and happier life, pursuing childhood dreams. It looked interesting, but I didn't take it cuz I didn't have too much money with me. somehow, when I was leaving I felt I should take it, so I did it. Then some days later, after I started reading the book, I liked it so I went on the internet to search about Randy to know how he was doing. I find out that he was dead, it really impacted me, you know what? he died the same date when I bought the book. I felt like it was a sign!!! yeah a sign that I should live more positive and I should try to go for my dreams no matter what other people think. Thats the main reason that pushed me to write on this blog, since I was a child I wanted to be a writer, yeah! even though I am just writing for myself I feel very satisfied!!! I feel a nice energy when I write!!! mission accomplished! later on I will write about my other dreams.

TORONTO
I had a wonderful experience in Toronto, I lived there for two months! I took English classes and I met a lot of people!!! It was pretty cool.
I learned how to take the subway, buses, streetcars… well my place was far from the skool area (downtown). I walked up and down in downtown and I liked to see so many different people walking and walking in the morning with a Tim Horton Coffee cup on their hands and listening to mp3 players.
However, I missed my husband very much; I realized how important he is in my life. I appreciate more what I have here in Ja, even is not perfect but I feel like home it’s my paradise :)
At skool I met nice people from Mexico, Japan, Europe and teachers were Canadian. I am already used to multicultural relationships, well my husband is Chinese yeah! Nice combination latin and Chinese. Its pretty interesting haha… I also hang out with my sis in law sometimes, she is fun too. I met 2 old friends one Jamaican and another Colombian.
Even though, people in Toronto are really polite,( they will help you if you are lost or if you need any directions) I could feel like a very remarkable distance between each individual, what I mean is that Canadian society is individualistic. That’s was interesting, and different.
Well, I also had strange experiences I saw some mad people on the subway or on the road it was little bit scary. Like cursing bad words to others or shouting, doing weird things… those situations are also part of the trip.
I also saw some arts expressions on the street really nice!!
There were many different entertainment activities to do, festivals, parades, concerts… I really liked the summer over there.
It was a great destination!
At the end it was a constructive experience I loved it. I had the chance to be by myself for a while, and it gave me power get back on track at home.
